Meet - Elsie Igberaese, in November 2020, she was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer (Hodgkin lymphoma) that attacks the lymphatic system.
After 8 months, 3 surgeries, 4 cycles of chemotherapy, and 3 rounds of radiation, she is officially cancer free.
"I was just 19 years old, living life and carrying out my dream of being a collegiate athlete, so this cancer diagnosis was completely devastating. However, through faith in God and the unwavering support from my wonderful family, friends, coaches, teammates and doctors, I was able to get through treatment one step at a time. Now, after finishing chemotherapy and radiation, ny scans are completely clear, and I am officially cancer free," said Elsie Igberaese.
